Boarding, Training and Facilities

Queenswood Stables offers a variety of boarding options tailored to meet the needs of both horses and riders. Our indoor board includes mucking out, feeding four times per day, turn-out, booting, and blanketing, ensuring your horse receives exceptional care. We also offer full board, which includes your choice of lessons or training 16 times per month, as well as training board, where your horse will receive training 16 times per month.
We have two indoor arenas for year round training: one 60'x120' arena, perfect for training young horses and beginner riders in a safe environment, and a second, larger 80'x220' arena, which allows us to train horses and riders at the international level. In addition to these indoor riding options Queenswood also boasts several outdoor riding areas for the warmer months. These include several outdoor rings, a jumper ring, and many trails to wander around paddocks and through the trees.
The care and attention we give to both horse and rider are of the highest standard. Whether you're an enthusiastic beginner or an advanced competitor, our team of top-class professionals will make you feel welcome and supported.
Training is provided by our three international trainers in both dressage and hunter disciplines. We also specialize in starting many young horses each year, offering training for your future use or for the sales market.

“I first came to Queenswood Stables in January 2004 as a student of the University of Ottawa Equestrian team, at the time the team was coached by Simone Williams. By the summer of 2005 I had moved my then four year old to Queenswood. Initially the plan was to stay for the summer, but nearly 8 years later Tundra and I are still happily at Queenswood Stables.
When Tundra and I first arrived at Queenswood stables, neither one of us had any dressage training. Slowly we began to develop our skills and by 2007 began showing dressage. Simone's commitment and belief in us has been fundamental to our success. Under the guidance of Simone and Oz Tundra and I have shown training, first, second and the Prix st George on the gold and silver circuit. Tundra's and mine most notable success came on the summer of 2012 when we were third level AA champion at many of the shows we attended. Furthermore we won the Ottawa Area Dressage group third level AA trophy for Silver and Gold shows.
This feat would not have been possible had it not been for the dedication of Simone and Oz. Simone and Oz pushed Tundra and I when we needed to be pushed and allowed us to learn in a wonderful environment that is Queenswood stables. Tundra and I are currently schooling Intermediare I with the hopes of competing at this level in the near future. Simone and Oz continue to inspire and push me on a regular basis and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to train with such wonderful coaches and horse people." - Caroline George
